I was standing in the kitchen watching some lightning activity on the horizon. There was an gentle uphill slope directly in front of me. The electrical power lines to the house led dpwn the slope. Suddenly an intense yellow-white ball appeared about 100m away from me on the slope, about a meter above the ground. The ball was about 50cm in diameter, perhaps slightly larger. It appeared to be about 4 or 5 meters directly to the left of one of the power pylons (which were woodef)/ Almost instantly after appearing, the ball leapt with w3high speed to the top of the pylon. When it contacted the wire(s) a large spark blew open the door to the electrical fuse box in the kitchen, tripping the main earth-leakage switch (and frightening the shit out of me).
1. The ball was yellowish-white, not blueish-white like ordinary lightning or electrical sparks.
2. The ball was definitely stationary for a period (but less than half a second) before flying up to the electrical lines.
3. Due to my bewilderment when the fuse box blew, I was not able to observe how the ball dispersed.
4. Noted several years later:
