Clifford Bias was a well-known teacher in New York City. He lived at the Ansonia Hotel on the West Side, and taught tarot classes, the kabbalah, the Western Mystery Tradition, as well as classes in spritualism and psychic developement. Lots of people knew him as a teacher; even more know him because they went to the Ansonia for a reading. Bias lived in New York until 1985, when he moved to Indiana as education director and president of the Indiana Association of Spiritualists in Camp Chesterfield.
Reverend Bias was ordained as a minister in 1937, and helped organize the Spiritualist-Episcopal Church. He served as a minister at churches in Jackson, MI; Buffalo, NY; Toledo, OH; St.Petersburg, FL; and New York City. He helped found the Universal Spirtualist Association, for which he was a dean.
He compiled and edited The Ritual Book of Magic, published by Weise in 1981. He left thisplane in 1987 at hte age of 77. He had a vast background in the field of esoteric study. There are many who will miss him. This work has been offered again for those students who want to have one last chance to study with Clifford.
